Great out of the package but wrinkled out of the dryer....

The Pinzon 400-Thread-Count 100% Egyptian Cotton Hemstitch Duvet Set feels like heaven just out of the package. It reminds me of the type you see at 5-star hotels and the picture in the Amazon ad reinforces that layered design ideal.



But something changes when you launder this set. All of a sudden the softness is gone and the pieces become super wrinkled. This set needs to be ironed after being dried in an electric clothes dryer. (In the spring when I resume drying bedding on my outside clothes line; perhaps this duvet set will be wrinkle free and will not need to be ironed.)



A bit of trivia: some folks call it a duvet others call it a duvet cover. Even in this Amazon description the terms are used interchangeably. Not everyone understands the terms. This set includes a duvet (duvet cover) and two shams. The duvet (or duvet cover) is a large two-sided piece that has no filling. You can slip it over any blanket or comforter you already own. One side of the duvet (or duvet cover) has buttons so you can close it all in. The two shams that come with the king set are also king-sized and generous. The sham works the same way a pillowcase does; you slip it over your pillows.



While most people reading this review know what they are looking at; not everyone will.



All in all I don't think I can recommend this duvet set at the price listed. As another reviewer mentioned it's too high maintenance. After being laundered it's not nearly as soft as I wanted it to be and the wrinkles are a major disappointment.More detail ...

I can use my down duvet again!

We had to stop using our down duvet because the down was actually coming out of it even though it was inside the duvet cover. This caused many sneezing and nose-running ridden nights as well as mornings. I was contemplating on getting rid of it since it was just sitting in storage.



After doing some searching online I found some allergy duvet covers and found that this was one of the least expensive ones. I didn't want to spend too much to find out that the cover didn't work. That would be more money wasted.



I received this cover a few days after ordering and quickly washed it for use. It wasn't very hard to put on the duvet. Actually it was like any other duvet cover. We used it last night and how wonderful it was to use our down duvet again! Just in time for the chilly weather too! I haven't put it inside the duvet cover yet because we wanted to see if it would work so I guess today I'll be fitting it into our standard duvet cover.



The quality is sturdy seams seem to be well done and zipper is heavy duty. It's not coated with any funny chemicals just 100% cotton.

Lovely Duvet

I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this but taking my chances definitely paid off. The colors match perfectly to what is seen online. The duvet is lightweight and soft. The best part its also washable. The only problem I encountered is a small tear in the seam after washing but its fixable. Overall this is a beautiful duvet and definitely worth the money spent. Beautiful color feels great good quality but wrinkles due to thread count

I was offered the Pinzon Damask 440 thread count Queen Duvet Set in the Saddle color from the Amazon Vine Program to review. Right when I removed it from the package I was thrilled! It looked BEAUTIFUL. A really nice neutral 'mocha' type of color. I love neutral colors that you can blend easily with other colors but some tones tend to be too pink or too yellow and this is neither it's a truly beautiful neutral but NOT 'blah' mocha color in my opinion. The color on my monitor on the Amazon product page is dead on accurate. The best thing of course is that the dye lot matches so the duvet and 2 pillow shams were all identical in color. (I know that this is a given but I have received some mismatched colors from other brands in the past.)



Before washing it it had this beautiful sheen to it - not metallic but this somewhat glossy sheen that I loved. After washing though most of the 'sheen' was gone but some still remained. The color of the duvet set however held true and did not bleed at all. All is great it washed & dried really well it fits on our Queen sized comforter & pillows perfectly but my only complaint is that it wrinkles somewhat around the finished edges of the pillow case. I lightly touched them up with a low heat iron to smooth them out and they've stayed like that ever since.



I DO prefer this 440 thread count as opposed to the similar version of the Pinzon brand in the 400 thread count. There is a BIT of a difference but not much. The 440TC is SLIGHTLY more crisp.



I think it's a good quality Duvet at a fair price now that Amazon has dropped the price on it (at the time of writing this it's listed at $59.99). However if you can catch this on sale at $15-$20 less then I'd say it's an INCREDIBLE DEAL for the quality and to nab one! I would however recommend this 440TC set over the similar 400TC set.More detail ...

to smell good and feel good.

Clive Christian perfume might be expencive but what a good perfume first time i did use Clive C i was afried of being to strong to smell at but just put on a little and you smell good all day/night its tender and a warm smell and makes you feel so goodThe perfume makes you fell secure and it wants you to use it again again.
